Many Canadian Families have connections with one of the Atlantic Canada Provinces, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador.

I have been working on my family history now for many years and have always thought just names and dates didn't tell me enough about what life was like for my ancestors. Therefore, I have decided to research more into what life was like for them back in the day including how things have changed from then until now. I have family connections to New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

All of the Atlantic Provinces have similiarities and some differences on what was like in the early years. This website will bring you general items pertaining to all four Atlantic Provinces as well as some information on things that may have been slighly different from Province to Province.

Have you ever wonder what it was like before the technologies we have today, I know I do. My goal is as I find out things on what life was like for my families to share some of this information along with you as well as I come across new info. Some things I am thinking on looking into is what was it like for new families in a new country, how did they build their homes? How did they survive? What products were popular during the day? What did they do for a living? What were the schools like? What big or small events happened during their time lines? How have these events impacted our lives today?

If anyone is aware of any interesting events that are either well know or not so well know for any of these provinces please let me know as I would like to cover as many things as possible. I have been finding that there is a lot of this information not online and not in books but in our own private Family History collections or still in the memories of our ancestor. I hope this will end up being a great resource for everyone who has a connection to the Atlantic Provinces and you can all help me to make it that way as well. I will acknowledge all suggestions and emails sent to me so feel free to drop me a line via Email.
